A: Yes, they will be asked to fill out a simple form.

Q: Are strollers allowed?
A: Strollers are permitted, but we ask that you please start towards the back and be respectful of other runners.

Q: Where is the bib pick-up?
A: See the main page for details and links about the bib pick-up. Fleet Feet (Friday) and Link Museum (Saturday)

Q: When does the race start?
A: The half marathon and 10K both start at 8:15 am.

Q: Where is the start?
A: O. Winston Link Museum
    101 Shenandoah Ave. NE
    Roanoke, VA 24016

Q: Is the start close to the bib pick-up?
A: Yes, the start will be in front of the Link Museum.

Q: Where should I park?
A: Surrounding streets or the Gainsboro Parking Garage. The garages in downtown Roanoke are also a good
place to park. You can take the covered walkway across the train tracks directly to the starting line.
Note: Shenandoah Ave will be closed from Williamson Rd to N Jefferson St for the start and finish of the race.

Q: Where is the finish?
A: The start and finish are at the same location on Shenandoah Ave in front of the Link Museum.

Q: Are there fluid stations on the course?
A: Yes, the course map has the approximate location for each fluid station with water and Gatorade.

Q: Are there bathrooms on the course?
A: Yes, the course map has the approximate location for each bathroom.

Q: Is the course hilly?
A: The course map has the elevation profile.  Both routes have rolling hills.  The half marathon has one short but
very steep hill just before mile 9.

Q: Why should I sign up?
A: Low entry fee and BOTH events include a finisher medal, unisex cotton t-shirt, and one of the best
    post-race food spreads in Roanoke!

Q: Is there a time limit?
A: The time limit is a 15 minute mile pace. The 15 minute mile pace is set up so we can open up streets for the
city and move police and course marshals to different locations. If you can't make the 15 minute pace, you
will be asked to use the side walks and will be notified that you are on your own to make it back and the
course is officially shut down at each mile marker at the 15 minute pace. You can still run/walk the race
on the side walk or street and get back to the finish line and receive a finishers medal and participate in the
post race party. Unfortunately, the post race party will have thinned out and the finish line shuts down in
3.5 hours. We still encourage you to participate and enjoy the fun of doing a race.

Q: How do I create or join a team?
A: Teams have been added back by popular demand.  No awards this year, just bragging rights.

Q: Can I transfer my entry to a friend?
A: Yes (click here for helpful how-to instructions)

Q: Can I defer to next year?
